Live + Recorded 3 Part Course

Friday August 7th, Wednesday August 12th, Friday August 14th

1:30 - 2:45 pm EST

Join United We Om Teacher and Founder of Mindful Yoga Breaks Lani Rosen-Gallagher for this comprehensive "back to school" course!

Learn tools and techniques that help us manage our emotions, so we can find calm, peace, joy and gratitude, even when things feel out of control.

In this virtual course, you will explore the many benefits of yoga and mindfulness. You'll learn practical tools to incorporate into the school day to help manage the everyday stress and anxiety that kids, teachers and parents are experiencing. You will also learn how to utilize these techniques for interventions with children both virtually and in person.

Day 1: Explore the benefits of a mindfulness practice and how to use it with kids, as well as identify child-friendly terms and phrases to explain the brain’s physiology as it relates to managing emotion. We will learn the MYB "Anchor Breaths" and how to incorporate them into your daily schedule. We will also learn how to easily bring yoga into your day with five-to-10-minute sequences and games.

Day 2: We will explore the Superhero Breaths and a superhero-themed yoga sequence that teaches how to channel our own superpowers. We will also learn the Eagle Focus Sequence and how it relates to crossing the midline. We will explore more yoga poses and games.

Day 3: We will learn additional breathing exercises, mindfulness activities, yoga poses, relaxation techniques, games and props to add to your Social-Emotional Learning Toolbox. We will also learn how to make breathing sticks—gather your own pipe cleaner and eight beads of your choice—and if time allows, a mindful glitter bottle.

Donation based, no minimum. A recording will be sent out each week for those that donate but miss a session! If you can't attend live you're free to donate and receive the whole training as a recording.

Donations support our work sharing accessible yoga with trauma-impacted communities.
